Commercial Brake Roller Testing

Commercial Brake Roller Testing to DVSA MOT standard can now be carried out at the GT Commercials workshop, we have a dedicated brake test bay separate from our main workshop area, allowing us to conduct tests and offer out the facility to local customers without disruption to other workshop functions.

Our brake testers can withstand an axle load up to 16,000kg.

The DVSA are now clear that they expect at least 4 tests per year for vehicles on an operator’s licence, infact the Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness produced by the DVSA goes further…….

“As per the annual test, every safety inspection must assess the braking performance of the vehicle or trailer. It is strongly advised that a calibrated roller brake tester (RBT) is used at each safety inspection to measure individual brake performance and overall braking efficiencies for the vehicle or trailer to the annual test standards.”

We aim to turn vehicles around within 20 minutes, so drivers should not be here too long when they come in for this compliance requirement.
